FEMALE PROSPERITY CUP TOURNAMENT RECORDS HIGHEST NUMBER OF GOALS AS CRYSTAL STARS SCORE THIRTEEN UNREPLIED GOALS AGAINST GLOBAL STARS; AFINI LADIES ALSO PROGRESS History was recorded in the female version of the Bayelsa Governor's Football Tournament otherwise known as the Prosperity Cup, as Crystal Stars Queens pummel Global Stars with thirteen unreplied goals, Xtrymesports.blogspot.com reports. FEMALE PROSPERITY CUP 2025: BAYELSA STARS QUEENS, FLYING STARS QUEENS, PROGRESS TO NEXT ROUND   Two teams, Bayelsa Stars Queens and Flying Stars Queens of Azuzuama have booked their spot at the next phase of the ongoing women version of the Bayelsa Governor's Football Tournament otherwise known as the Prosperity Cup, Xtrymesports.blogspot.com reports. The games played on Monday at the Bishop Dimieri Grammar School field, saw Bayelsa Stars Queens knocked out Gods Mercy City FC one goal to nil, while Flying Stars Queens won 6-5 on penalties after an intense goalless draw, to progress to the next stage of the competition. BAYELSA WIN MAIDEN NIGER DELTA SPORTS FESTIVAL ****Director of Sports Dedicates Trophy to Governor Diri, Athletes  Bayelsa State have been crowned champions of the maiden Niger Delta Sports Festival, organized by the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC. At the end of the event on Monday, Bayelsa amassed a total of eighty nine medals, comprising forty two gold, twenty nine silver, and fifteen gold medals, to finish top of the table, with Delta in second position with forty one gold, twenty six silver and thirty two bronze medals, followed by Edo, Rivers, Ondo, Akwa Ibom, Abia, Imo and Cross River State. In an interview with Sports Journalists at the Uyo Township Stadium, venue of the closing ceremony, shortly after the trophy was presented to the State, Director of Sports, Sir Braveman Wodi attributed the success story to the synergy and dedication of the state government, sports administrators, and the athletes.
