Two teams, Bayelsa Stars Queens and Flying Stars Queens of Azuzuama have booked their spot at the next phase of the ongoing women version of the Bayelsa Governor's Football Tournament otherwise known as the Prosperity Cup, Xtrymesports.blogspot.com reports.

The games played on Monday at the Bishop Dimieri Grammar School field, saw Bayelsa Stars Queens knocked out Gods Mercy City FC one goal to nil, while Flying Stars Queens won 6-5 on penalties after an intense goalless draw, to progress to the next stage of the competition.

In the first game between God's Mercy City FC and Bayelsa Stars Queens, the first half was a stalemate as both teams couldn't pose a serious threat against each other, resulting to a goalless situation.
In the 52nd minute, Bayelsa Stars Queens energetic striker, Ogiligi Annette's goal separated both sides. Despite being marked by two players, Tatua Princess was able to make a long cross which beat all the defenders, and find its way to Ogiligi Annette, who had nothing else to do, but to control and slot home the decider.

The second game between Orukaribai Queens of Yenagoa and Flying Stars Queens of Azuzuama started with a lot of excitement as the latter showcased their determination to find the back of the net almost immediately the whistle was blown.
Few chances were created with the Azuzuama side creating more, but the first half ended goalless.

At the resumption, Flying Stars Queens forward, Daudi Esther had the opportunity to take the lead after connecting from a free kick, but her shot went wide. Flying Stars Queens mounted more pressure, but Orukaribai Queens goalkeeper, Okpu Wonderful was vigilant all through.
The game went to the shoot out, and Flying Stars Queens won 6-5.
