MAIDEN EPIE UNITY FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT SET FOR NEXT MONTH
Following the successful hosting and conclusion of the maiden edition of the Atissa Football Competition, the Epie communities will soon be agog as their own tournament is about to get underway.
Recall that several weeks ago, the Atissa clan was busy with a football tournament courtesy of the OSOMKIME BLANKSON YOUTHS VANGUARD.
Several notable personalities are already anticipating the competition that is still proudly sponsored by the Osomkime Blankson Youths Vanguard, following the official flag off of the Epie football tournament, which has been fixed for 1st to 22nd of December 2024, Xtremesports.blogspot.com reports
Endorsing the competition, Manager of OLBY SYNERGY COMPANY LTD, Mr. Obi Esue gave words of encouragement to the Organizers led by Comr. Akugbe Dumeze for their commitment towards our together an interesting tourney, adding that the move will foster unity, love and peace amongst communities of Epie kingdom.
Mr. Esue in his remarks called on all Epie Communities to participate in the community based tournament.
He further emphasized on the area of commitment from the players, as plans were on grind to scout for raw talents to represent Yenagoa LGA in the Bayelsa United Feeders, which could possibly see them lace their boots for other league clubs, as well as the cadre national teams.
He also used the medium to call on all political leaders and lovers of sports across Yenagoa Local Government Area, to support the idea,either financially or otherwise, as the competition will help in uniting the kingdoms of Epie/Atissa Kingdom.
The team led by Comr. Dumeze Akugbe aka BIG JAGA, thanked the Manager of Olby Synergy Company Ltd, Mr. Obi Esue for his show of Sportsmanship, and assured him of their commitment towards hosting a successful tournament.
Meanwhile, former Commissioner for Health Dr. Newton Pabara has also endorsed the Epie Unity Football tournament.
Commending the host for the previous tournament organized for the Atissa communities Hon. Pabara Igwele called on all leaders of the Yenagoa LGA to either partner or support the competition.
