GRASOF FELICITATES WITH ITS PATRON, SENATOR OHUABUNWA OVER RECOGNITION 

One of Nigeria's foremost grassroot sports organisers, the Grassroot Sports Federation, GRASOF, has congratulated Senator Dr. Mao Ohuabunwa, following his recent award of excellence by the Anglican Communion Head Quarters.
Senator Ohuabunwa received the award from the Most Rev'D Henry C. Ndukuba, the Prilate Anglican Communion , All Nigeria at the 35th year Anniversary celebration of the Anglican Church Head Quarters, Abuja.

President of the Grassroot Sports Federation, Hon. John Ekpeyoung in a statement released said Senator Dr Mao Ohuabunwa, who was a Special Guest of Honour at the event has distinguished himself over the years as an role model, an icon, and a beacon of hope to several organizations across the country.

Hon. John Ekpeyoung notes that as a Patron of GRASOF, his contributions to the development of sports and other sectors was indelible, little wonder he is being honored by corporate bodies, organizations, private individuals and so on.

He said, "The Grassroot Sports Federation, congratulate our Patron, Senator Dr. Mao Ohuabunwa on his recent award by the Anglican Church in Abuja. We are proud of him for what he has done over the years. For those who know him or have worked with him, you will know that he is someone with a passion to support a cause."

"I equally thank the Anglican Church Head Quarters in Abuja for giving him the honor, because sometimes some people contribute so much and don't get recognized. So for a religious body, such as the Anglican Church to honour him, is well commendable."

Senator Dr. Mao Arukwe Ohuabunwa, a politician and businessman, represented Abia North Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly having served in the 4th and 5th National Assembly as Member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal constituency.
